New system for booking and purchasing Alhambra tickets to be launched this Sunday
This Sunday, a new system will be launched for booking and purchasing tickets for the Alhambra in Granada. From now on visitors won't have to queue at the ticket office. After purchasing their tickets online, they will be able to print them, speeding up the entry process and preventing long queues. In addition, the tickets won't be able to be resold as they are personalised. There are also plans to increase security measures for the monument.

Tickets to the Alhambra will be available online via its Trust's website, but visitors will no longer have to queue at the ticket office to collect them. They'll simply need to print them and show them at the entry gates. Furthermore, these tickets will not be able to be resold, and may also be bought from special machines, giving the option to pay by card.
The new system will soon be adapted for mobiles and will replace the old one, which will remain in place until 1 January, due to the already-made reservations. One thing's sure not to change: the monument's annual maximum capacity of 2,700,000 visitors.
