Operation 'White Border' for Pope Francisco's visit to Fátima this weekend will see stricter border controls between Spain and Portugal until Sunday, with the support of the Spanish Police, and will mean that travellers will need to show their DNI or passport.
There are nine access roads between Spain and Portugal: in Extremadura, the Caya-Elvas and the Marvao-Vicente de Alcántara entry points.
