The joint office is an customer service point in the Extremaduran Public Employment Service (Sexpe) headquarters in Badajoz that, beginning this week, offers information and services to the unemployed, companies, workers and entrepreneurs from Spain and Portugal that want to work on the other side of the border, like the nearly 1,500 Portuguese and 640 Extremadurans that already do so on a daily basis.

With its twin branch in Elvas, the centre is part of the Eures Transfronterizo plan and is the third of its kind top open in Spain after the centre in Galicia, which has been operating for 17 years, and the newly inaugurated centre in Andalusia-Algarve.
