The PSOE and Ciudadanos have come to an agreement on the reform and tax credit for Donations and Inheritance taxes in Andalusia, raising the minimum exemption for the inheritance tax to one million, which is a condition that Ciudadanos marked as a requirement for negotiating the 2018 budget.

The minimum inheritance tax exemption is for inheritances between parents and their children and between spouses. And it will have an impact of 83 million euros on public funds.

With this agreement, they are trying to move forward with planning for next year¿s budget. Which will go up by around 3% with respect to this year. And we already know that the greatest investment will be in health care. 465 million more euros for investment in early childhood care.

The councillor of Finance and Public Administration, María Jesús Montero, said today that the tax reform will be applied by the Board, following the agreement with Ciudadanos, and that only those who receive over a million euros in inheritance or those who are millionaires will pay an inheritance tax.

The Andalusian Ciudadanos (C¿s) leader, Juan Marín, has stated that the deal reached necessitates a "death certificate" and that the tax levy will ¿become a thing of the past" for the community.

The President of Andalusia, Susana Díaz, emphasized today that after the agreement between PSOE and Ciudadanos the Board is the first administration to ensure accountability for 2018, so that there will be "stability and a clear horizon", and the upcoming year will be one of ¿growth and the recovery of rights".

The president of the PP in Andalusia, Juanma Moreno, assessed the agreement reached between PSOE and Ciudadanos on inheritance tax reform today, but he asked that 99% of this tax credit be given to immediate families and that the minimum tax exemption be established to include siblings and nieces and nephews.
