An exhibit in Seville explores Expo `92 through the newspapers of the time

Over the next few days, La Casa de la Provincia in Seville will be hosting an exhibition that reminds us what the Expo `92 used to be like from the perspective of journalism. 25 years later, the exhibit brings us closer to the image of the media professionals that covered the historic event and how we tell the story through the front pages of leading newspapers, such as ABC or Diario 16.

What do the front pages of newspapers look like 25 years later? Front pages that give an account of what went on at the Expo. 1992 was a year for changes. And this exhibit reflects those times in black and white and in colour.

Emilio is the author of one of those front pages, one of the few of that era to be printed in colour. Only for important news. And that it was. Above all, for the city of Seville, as it left behind a network of infrastructures, such as roads, bridges, and the Spanish high-speed railway (AVE). The Andalusian capital moved towards modernity. Today, 25 years later, we take a journey through what used to be the Expo and view its heritage. What was once an international exhibit has now evolved into a business park that employs nearly 10,000 workers.
