Lucía Vivar's parents confirm that her death was not accidental

The parents of three-year-old girl Lucía Vivar, who was found dead last July on the train tracks in Pizarra, Malaga, have decided to break their silence... They are convinced that someone took their child, and that she did not leave by herself... They say they have received a report from two coroners that questions whether her death was in fact due to an accident, this being the main hypothesis of the investigation. According to the report, the child is said to have suffered two blows to the head, one of which took place before being hit by the train.

Almost three months have passed since three-year-old child Lucía Vivar was found dead on the train tracks. Today her parents step in front of the cameras for the first time in a call for justice.

They never once believed the official version of the accident, according to which their daughter had got distracted and walked the four kilometres that separate the Pizarra train station from where her body was found by herself and at night-time. And now they are even less inclined to believe it, after the report they requested from coroners Luis Frontela and Carlos Pérez Agua questions whether Lucía did in fact die as a result of being hit by the train.

According to the report, the child is said to have suffered two blows to the head, one of which took place before being hit by the train.

Two days ago, her parents had a meeting with the judge in charge of the case. They walked out feeling happy and confident as the judge has not shut down any investigation channels, although the same questions they have been asking for nearly three months remain unanswered. Lucía¿s parents have called for a gathering that will take place tomorrow in Pizarra, the town where she went missing. And another on Saturday in Alhaurín el Grande, the town where she lived.
