At that time, 36 photographers from all over the world passed through here to both exhibit their work and develop their own vision of the Mediterranean from the Almerian waterfront. Photographers like Abbas, William Klein, Martín Parr, Bernard Plossu, Max Pam, Cristina García Rodero and Cartier Bressón himself, who provided with some unconventional ink drawings, came together to make Almería the epicentre of Spanish photography between 1990 and 1992.
Seventy exhibitions took place during that time. The Mediterranean vision of the photographers who passed through here has been immortalised in a grand exhibition and a catalogue of 456 images, compiled by the Culture Department.
A selection of 93 images from that exhibition is now on display in the CAF until 15 October.
