13th PSOE Congress in Andalusia in which Susana Díaz will be reelected as Secretary General
The Andalusian socialists finalise preparations for their thirteenth congress to be held this Saturday and Sunday. There will no surprises when it comes to choosing the leader: Susana Díaz will continue as secretary general. This morning she visited the exhibition "A great party for a great people".
At the entrance of the Congress, there is an exhibition covering the 40 years in images. Since the demonstrations in 1977 until the referendum on 28 February 1980. It is a way of defending that Andalusia is at the same level as the historical communities. Susana Díaz¿s PSOE upholds that the state model should be excluded from all discussions. The pluri-nationality defended by Sánchez is not supported by the Andalusian socialists.
A record 481 delegates attended the socialist federation congress. Only 10 percent of them are so-called ¿sanchistas¿. The Secretary General of PSOE will come on Sunday to the closing session of the Congress. It will be their first encounter with Susana Díaz since the primary elections. The aim is to take a normal photo of both leaders, although it seems that there is still tension in the air within the party.
