The 20th DocsBarcelona festival already has winners

  • The documentary "Los Niños" (The Children) by Maite Alberdi, wins best film at DocsBarcelona
  • The festival was 50% bigger than the previous edition, and twice as long, with 16,000 viewers
  • The festival closed with a screening of  "La Chana", with a live performance by its subject, the dancer Antonia Santiago Amador, known as La Chana.

The new talent award went to Feras Fayyad, in his debut, "Last Men in Aleppo". The audience award was won by "Jericó, el infinito vuelo de los días" (Jericho, the infinite flight of days), by Catalina Mesa.

The screening of "La Chana" was attended by the director, Lucija Stojevic, and the dancer herself, who thrilled the audience with a brief performance
