Hoteliers want to put an end to the false food poisoning accusations
Since 2014, €7 million have had to be paid in Tenerife alone, as a result of the fraudulent cases made by British tourists on holiday, claiming that they suffered food poisoning after eating at the hotels.

The tourists fake having diarrhoea so that they can claim compensation from a made-up situation. They make the claims from their country and all they need to process it is a receipt for antidiarrheal medicine. Although it is a scam on all levels of business, it is cheaper reach an agreement than to litigate in the United Kingdom.
