The confirmation of good vibes came quickly. An initial throw of over 74 metres, something that hasn't happened for several years. Afterwards, up to four null throws, although all went beyond that distance. And in the sixth, and last, the mark that brings Cienfuegos to the top.
This Saturday, Javier takes part in the hammer throw at the Championship in Extremadura. His place of birth will also host the Spain Championship of long distance throws, on 4 March. And a week later, in the Canary Islands, the European Cup. Three competitions to come in which the athlete, trained by Antonio Fuentes, goes after a big goal: beating his own record in Spain.
