El Hiperrealismo de la mano de una artista callejera en Sevilla
Alejandra Muñoz

It is during this season of Christmas lights, shopping and non-stop bustling crowds that a many have been finding themselves staring at the ground and stopping at some of Seville¿s busiest street corners. Lídjia is over there. Stained with chalk and charcoal, her hands are her only tools for creating her astonishing pavement drawings.

They are compositions that take between 5 and 6 hours to make. She produces her art in the middle of the street, she says, as she likes open spaces and and being in contact with people. Which is why it is here that she feels comfortable and prefers to create her ephemeral works, which scarcely last a day on the ground. She observes original photos from her mobile, every detail of which she copies meticulously. She paints tirelessly in search of a brief and fleeting perfection. Nothing will be left the following day.
