Important RTVE presence in 4K Summit in Málaga
4K technology, or ultra high definition television, is the hot topic today in Málaga. Experts from 20 countries are meeting in the third edition of the 4K Summit, a meeting in which Radio Televisión Española will be one of the key participants.

4K is the technology most similar to the vision of the human eye, as it multiplies the quality of high definition by four. RTVE cameras have already shot and aired various reports or documentaries in 4K, as in the case of the Royal Guard change, the first live and ultra high definition broadcasting filmed in Spain by this House.
They have also recorded documentaries in 4K on the Prado, the Reina Sofía Museum and a series of 15 episodes on World Heritage Cities; the progress of which can be seen for the first time in the forum. In terms of upcoming RTVE projects, a documentary about Murillo is currently being filmed, dealing with the conversion of material from 35 mm to 4K - a technique that allows the viewer to rewatch series like Don Quixote, as if they were new productions. All this and more will be talked about until Friday in the 4K Summit. A forum that brings together experts from 20 countries to discuss the present and future of television.
