RTVE will attend the ninth APTC market in Peru, the grand convention of the television sector for the Andean market, which will take place on April 26 and 27 at the Swissôtel in Lima. The event will serve to strengthen the position of the international channels already in place in the region (TVE Internacional, 24 Horas and Star HD) as well as to publicly present the new children's channel, Clan International.

This is a convention organized by the Peruvian Association of Cable Television (APTC), an institution that brings together cable operators in Peru, and it is attended by many operators from Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador, as well as content and technology providers who wish to expand throughout the Andean region. This market has a population of almost 60 million and presents considerable growth potential in the field of Pay TV.

RTVE is well positioned in this market, thanks to the strong penetration of its international channels, which are being distributed by the major cable operators. To reinforce this position, RTVE will attend this event along with the team from the company, MIC, led by Katya Sagastizabal and Patricia Uribe. MIC represents the interests of RTVE in the Andean region and is responsible for the marketing of our catalog of international channels, consisting of:

TVE Internacional: A general channel in which quality and content variety come first. It is the Spanish channel with the greatest international exposure. Its programming includes entertainment, information, culture and education and provides the best and broadest range for a diverse and heterogeneous audience.

24 Horas: The first all-news channel in Spanish: a worldwide reference for news in Spanish 24 hours a day, seven days a week, that incorporates, through various news programs, all journalistic genres and that reviews the latest national and international news.

STAR HD: RTVE’s High Definition (HD) channel for the Americas that began broadcasting in early 2016 and is already received in more than one million households. Its aim is to broadcast high-quality fiction and entertainment aimed at a family audience.

Clan: this is RTVE new children's channel in HD, created with the idea of bringing to the Americas the best programming and the values of Clan channel in Spain.

The aim of Clan is to meet the entertainment and education demands of children up to the age of 12 years, paying particular attention to preschool children, from 2 to 4 years and from 4 to 7 years, who will be targeted by 82% of the schedule.

With this new thematic children's channel, RTVE rounds up a varied and high-quality catalog of channels, covering all aspects of news and entertainment for both adults and children.

RTVE’s team will be led by the Head of the Andean market, Concepción Hernando, who will be accompanied by the Sales Executive, María José Loranca.
