Ricardo won't admit he has a problem with alcohol. Why should he when he's just been awarded a Michelin Star, and the restaurant he's a partner in has been full since it opened?

But one night when he has been drinking more than usual (which is saying something) he screws up and is cancelled. With no other way out, he is forced to live with his mother and teach cooking at the school where he learned. Amidst indifferent students and hostile teachers, he finds solace in alcohol.

CHARACTERS:

RICARDO. He doesn't let himself be known too much, although deep down, deep down, he's a nice guy. He was a troubled teenager who found a vocation in cooking. He takes it pretty hard to have gone from being the chef of his own fancy restaurant to being in front of some kids who can't even fry an egg. At first he cares little about his students; he is very demanding, not to say tyrannical, and all he wants is to get back to his restaurant as soon as possible, but to do so he has to give up alcohol for good. But the more time he spends with his students, the more they remind him of the teenager he was, which will lead him to become much more involved in their lives than he could have imagined at first.

SONIA. Sonia is the school's educational tutor. She and Jaime have been a couple for years. Now that Sonia's biological clock is ticking and it is time to take a step forward in their relationship, she thinks it is time to have a child, but Jaime does not feel ready for it. Sonia will launch an ordago to Jaime: either he decides to become a father or she will inseminate herself in a clinic. Meanwhile, Sonia and Ricardo will strengthen their bond, and a love story will emerge at the end of the season, coinciding with her finally getting pregnant. Sonia will not know if the future baby is Jaime's, Ricardo's or the donor's, and she will not be sure whether to stay with either of them or be a single mother.

FRED. He is the school's teacher influencer. Ricardo's presence will make him feel threatened and he will consider him his enemy from day one. Motivational chef in networks, he constantly uploads videos in which he encourages his fucking followers to stop being losers and “keep growing” thanks to his recipes and vital advice. Fred is the typical cool guy, full of insecurities, who needs everyone to look up to him to feel good. He believes in what the press has dubbed “impact cooking,” focusing more on the show and the diner's experience than the food itself.

JAIME. Director of the cooking school. He deeply admires Ricardo, maybe too much. Despite Ricardo's conflicts and relapses, Jaime trusts him and offers him several second chances. He has been Sonia's partner for years. Although they have a stable relationship, they are going through a decisive moment: Sonia wants to become a mother, while Jaime does not yet feel ready to take on this responsibility. This will generate tensions in the couple.

MAPI. She is Sonia's vegan cooking teacher and close friend. She becomes Sonia's tears cloth, whom she will encourage to inseminate herself. An unexpected inheritance will be the cause of some “imperceptible” change in her life.

MARGA AND MAX. Marga, Ricardo's mother, is a widow full of life and positivity. She lives with Max, the guiri whom she met in a tantric sex course and who is now her partner. Her happy existence is interrupted by the arrival of her son, so, always in a veiled way, she will try to bother him as much as possible so that he leaves home as soon as possible.

AMINA, born in Morocco but raised in Spain, is very intelligent and loves to write poetry. Her good grades have earned her a place in the supervised apartment where she lives with Candela, whom she can't stand. The two flatmates and Yoel, the Latin boy with whom they share a class, form a complex love triangle.

CANDELA. Of gypsy race, she is a shameless and vindictive girl who doesn't shut up at all. In fact, she loves rap and records videos that she uploads to her networks whenever she can.

YOEL. He is a Latino guy with an aggressive look, full of tattoos. At first he will clash head-on with Ricardo, but as the season progresses a connection between them will emerge. He lives with his grandmother, Olga, from whom he will discover secrets throughout the season that will totally blow his mind.

LUIS. He is a posh kid who finds no motivation to study, because he knows that his future is assured and that he will inherit the family empire someday. His mother is fine with this plan, but his father enrolls him in school so that he can start at the bottom like he did. Luis is deeply attracted to Candela, even though she is a gypsy and does not belong to his social class, or precisely because of it.

JAVIER. He is a true lover of cooking. He has studied the great chefs and wants to reach the top, but having Asperger's doesn't help him: for him recipes are like mathematical formulas and he leaves no room for improvisation.
