  • Contador se vistió de amarillo en la 15ª etapa, con meta en Bagneres de Luchon, después de aventajar en 39 segundos a Andy Schleck aprovechando un pinchazo de éste y su destreza en el descenso.
  • El noruego Thor Hushovd también ha ganado una etapa al esprint, la de la polémica etapa del pavés entre Wanze y Arenberg.
  • Andy Schleck ha ganado dos etapas en este Tour. La primera, en la subida a Morzine, se la arrebató al español Samuel Sánchez.
  • Los actores estadounidenses Tom Cruise (d) y Cameron Diaz (i) posan en el podio junto al ciclista español Alberto Contador
  • Alberto Contador sufrió mucho para defender su maillot amarillo en la penúltima etapa, una contrarreloj de 51 km entre Burdeos y Pauillac.
