In October 2001 the first series of Operación Triunfo kicked off on TVE. This musical talent show changed the history of television in Spain and, above all, transformed the lives of its contestants.

On the 15th Anniversary of the show, TVE presents 'Operación Triunfo: The Reunion', a series of three specials that revolves around the reunion of a number of friends, all participants in that legendary first series in which these young contestants were brought together and offered the opportunity to live together and learn.

The three specials will bring together 16 artistes, offering us a chance to discover what the show meant to them and how they experienced the OT phenomenon. We will also be offer a glimpse of their present-day lives and their personal and professional plans.

These highly emotional programs will help us to recall what the contestants were like before the contest, how they fared during their months at the Academy and what their lives were like when they left. We will also be able to discover what they have been doing over the last fifteen years, based on a series of in-depth interviews with each contestant, encompassing both their recollections and their current lives. These programs will enable us to understand why TV viewers fell in love with them 15 years ago, and we will see how this feeling has persisted over time.
