Tenerife, first stop of the "Ñ Route"
The Spanish national basketball team revisits Tenerife 38 years later. The national team previously visited the island to play a friendly with the Canary Islands and another with El Náutico in 1979.

The path to EuroBasket 2017 goes through Tenerife. The island is the first stop of the "Ñ Route".
The Spanish team began its schedule of friendly matches in the Santiago Martín pavilion. Spain beat Tunisia 71-45 in their first match in preparation for the European championship, to be held from 31 August to 17 September in Romania, Israel, Turkey and Finland.
The second test will be today, from 9:45 pm. The national team will continue warming up against Belgium, in the last match of a three-team heat, which has attracted a great deal of interest; in fact, tickets for tonight are already sold out. Teledeporte will also show this new ÑBA match.
The national basketball team's return to Tenerife 38 years later is also a test run for the island, which will host the women's basketball World Championship in 2018.
