In this week's broadcast, we analyse the ongoing efforts towards having an EU-wide legislation against sexual violence which defines rape on the absence of consent. To gain a better understanding of the steps being taken to make this transnational law a reality and the challenges involved, we spoke with Lina Gálvez, Chair of the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality at the European Parliament, and Evin Incir, rapporteur for the Civil Liberties Committee.
We also discuss documentary films as the 23rd edition of the Documenta Madrid International Film Festival is taking place in Madrid this week. To find out more about this year's festival and the latest trends in documentary filmmaking, we are joined by Documenta Madrid's artistic director, Luis Parés. Finally, we discuss the challenges facing the Spanish documentary film industry with David Varela, director of the film 'El Milagro', which is being presented at Documenta Madrid.
