Spying and surveillance: Carissa Veliz's 'Privacy is Power'

After the newscast, and in light of a burgeoning spying scandal in Spain in which politicians' cellphones were infected with mobile phone spyware, we return to Carissa Veliz's "Privacy is Power." In her book, recently published in Spanish translation, Veliz alerts her readers to the dangers of massive surveillance "of everyone" by governments and corporations, and recommends active resistance to a global tendency which is disturbingly Orwellian.
