Una tarde con Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels

William Levise se erigió como una de las voces más poderosas del "blue eye soul" de los años 60. Lo hizo bajo el alter ego de Mitch Ryder y al frente de los Detroit Wheels. Formados en 1964 como Billy Lee and the Rivieras, cambiaron de nombre tras caer en manos del productor y compositor Bob Crewe. Éste les abrió las puertas al éxito pero tendrían que pagar el precio. Lanzaron tres álbumes en menos de dos años y colocaron unos cuantos singles en las listas de ventas nacionales, aunque su principal valía fue convertirse en una de las bandas del rhythm n’ soul más explosivas e influyentes que dio la Ciudad del Motor.
