'SloMo' has been composed by Leroy Sánchez, Keith Harris, Ibere Fortes, Maggie Szabos and Arjen Thone, songwriters who have previously collaborated with the likes of Madonna, Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears, Ricky Martin, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.

The Spanish entry for Eurovision Song Contest 2022 is a latin and urban influenced dance pop track with a message of empowerment and self-confidence and a hypnotic and powerful choreography on stage.

Leroy Sánchez, songwriter

Leroy Sanchez has always been an unconventional musician. Born and raised in Spain, Leroy truly came from humble beginnings. With his mother being a maid and his father, a carpenter, Leroy had to teach himself to play guitar and develop his voice entirely by ear. As a very introverted 15 year old with a burning need for self expression, Sanchez found a way to break that wall by uploading his first singing video on YouTube. He quickly garnered a following around the world and his voice and raw sensibility soon caught the attention of some of the top industry leaders. At age 19 the singer moved to the US to pursue his musical career. Ever since he’s collected upwards of half a billion YouTube views, over 45 million plays on streaming platforms and forged a constantly growing fanbase of over 6 million followers combined. His music has gained recognition from artists like Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Pharrell, Marc Anthony, and Quincy Jones.

In 2016, Leroy was nominated not only for a Premios Juventud Award, but also two Teen Choice Awards. Since then he has headlined over 100 shows in over 20 countries, with sold out shows in LA, NYC, Toronto, Amsterdam, London, Madrid, and more. In 2018 Leroy co-wrote 2 Platinum singles in Spain - El No Soy Yo (Blas Canto) & Invisible (Malu). In May 2021 he made his debut in the acclaimed Eurovision Song Contest as a song-writer with Spain’s entry “Voy a Quedarme”.

His long curated abilities as a singer-songwriter and a storyteller in both English and Spanish have brought him to work with major artists like Jeniffer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Becky G, Meghan Trainor, Stargate, Clean Bandit, Sofia Reyes, Reik, Pitbull, Lali Esposito, Bea Miller, David Guetta and more.

Keith Harris, producer and songwriter

Keith Harris is a Grammy award winning record producer, songwriter, music director, drummer, programmer and multi-instrumentalist. Harris has worked with several popular recording and live acts in the music industry.

Keith has produced, composed and contributed his unique musical style to numerous worldwide hit records and countless live performances by artists including: The Black Eyed Peas, will.i.am, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, John Legend, Mary J. Blige, Earth Wind & Fire, Chris Brown, Usher, Ricky Martin, The Pussycat Dolls, Meghan Trainor, Fifth Harmony, Busta Rhymes, Robin Thicke, Estelle, and a multitude of others.

Ibere Fortes, songwriter

Born and raised in Brazil, currently living in Miami, Iberê Fortes started writing music around 20 years ago. Iberê signed a publishing deal with Warner Chappell Latin in early 2019. While with Warner Chappell Latin Iberȇ has placed songs and worked with artists such as Enrique Iglesias, Anitta, Jhay Cortez, CNCO, Luan Santana, MC Kevinho, Reik, Camila, Aitana and other great talents. To quote Iberȇ, a versatile trilingual songwriter, “I have been really fortunate to be able to work with so many great professionals in the Brazilian, Hispanic and American music industry.

Some highlights of his work are “La Cobra” (by Jimena Baron) number one on Spotify Argentina and Uruguay, “Atención” (by Anitta) that was part of her Grammy nominated album “Kisses”, “Estamos Jodidos” (by Silvestre Dangond) song that was part o Grammy winning album “Las Locuras Mias” in 2021 (Best Cumbia/Vallenato Album), “Loco” (by Anitta) was featured in the Time Square billboards in January 2021, “Vueltas En Tu Mente” (By Tini Stoessel) and “Baila-Baila” (By Ir-Sais) were placed in the Movie KOATI that was premiered in October 2021 and “SloMo”, the Benidorm Fest winner song.

Maggie Szabos, songwriter

Maggie Szabo is a Canadian soul and pop singer and songwriter currently based in Los Angeles. Maggie has been extremely busy releasing a series of high-profile singles, remixes and EPs that have put her on the map as a 2021 artist to watch. She had her first exposure performing cover versions on YouTube, including a collaboration with Walk Off The Earth for their cover of "Party Rock Anthem", which was viewed over 9 million times. After releasing her debut album, Szabo's music videos for her original songs began going viral on YouTube.

This pop-songstress has quickly become one of the most sought after songwriter/vocalists for DJs and notable film and TV placements for networks like E!, Disney, NBC, Netflix. Arjen Thonen, producer and songwriter

Arjen Thonen is a multitalented Dutch Artist, DJ/Producer and influencer, who doesn't let any genre to be untouched. From melodic pop, future bass and clubby bass house to hard-hitting festival anthems, he does it all – and does it all remarkably skillfull. With years of perfecting his skills in the studio, he has collaborated with big names such as Tiësto, Nicky Romero or J Balvin. Also his productions are being used in live shows from Black Eyed Peas and Backstreet Boys.
