Among them are sarcophagus covers, whose likenesses represent safety and tranquillity in the face of death. This display features no human mummies, although there is one of a newborn kitten, used as an offering. The exhibition "Egypt, in search of Eternity" also looks at Egypt's leading role in jewellery and cosmetics. It features reproductions and has on display photographs of the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun, the largest ever archaeological undertaking.
