Leonardo da Vinci said that painting is silent poetry. The artist from Torredelcampo, Manuel Luis Armenteros, shares this concept to a great extent, since starting to work on the project "UT Pictura Poesis' since 2003, of which he is displaying his latest creations.
"El dolor de los otros" is on display at the Museum of Jaén until 15 October. A deep reflection on painting, outlined with ancient techniques such as tempera or encaustic painting using wax and oil. The exhibition includes a second space made up of different studies of light and chiaroscuro, where the darkness is highlighted by contrast, making evident not only what is there, but also what is not: emptiness.
