The drought leaves the reservoirs of Andalusia at 2009 levels
We have not experienced a drought like this since 2009. Guadalquivir basin reservoirs are at 35% of their capacity. This is a pre-alert situation, although no water restrictions are being contemplated at the moment. Autumn rainfall is expected to improve the situation.

The reservoirs are at less than half of their capacity and, in the case of the Guadalquivir basin, under pre-alert. Although the situation is not dangerous, it is concerning. In two weeks the season will change and there is hope... in the rainfall forecast for the autumn.
This year it has rained 10% less than average, and this is evident in all the basins, including the Andalusian Mediterranean. At the moment, the La Viñuela in Malaga only has 15 cubic hectometres of water.
