Juana Rivas brings her children to their father at the Civil Guard
Francesco Arcuri has arrived today, at 13:30, at the headquarters of the Civil Guard of Granada where his ex-partner, Joan Rivas, dropped off her two sons this morning, in compliance with the court order demanding her to hand the children over to their father, who had reported their abduction.
Arcuri, convicted in 2009 for causing injuries to Juana Rivas, who had again reported him for abuse in July of last year, entered the premises of the armed institute in a vehicle and has not made statements to the media representatives who were waiting at the entrance.
Furthermore, the judge of the Court of First Instance 2 of Granada has received a letter from the Organic Unit of Judicial Police of the Civil Guard of Granada in which it is confirmed that, at 11:50 this morning Juana Rivas voluntarily appeared and dropped off her two sons, aged 3 and 11.
The High Court of Justice of Andalusia has informed that, as a result, the judge has cancelled the order which had been arranged for the family to meet this afternoon at 17:00, in Granada centre.
According to the TSJA, the plans made to take statements from the people under investigation in this case "remain in force". The Court declared that it was investigating the legal adviser of the Municipal Women's Centre of Maracena, Francisca Granados, along with the psychologist from this same centre, Teresa Sanz.
