The 25th anniversary of Moreno Periñán winning the gold medal for Spain

On 27 July 1992, José Manuel Moreno Periñán won the first gold medal for Spain in track cycling. The Andalusian cyclist, in a minute and three seconds, set a world record for the Men¿s 1,000m Time Trial.

The cyclist was born in Chiclana de la Frontera (Cádiz), and he is training to compete in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. For him, at 48 year old, it is a very exciting challenge.

For Moreno, winning the Olympic gold medal is only comparable to the birth of his son.
