With temperatures exceeding 40 degrees almost daily, everyone is looking for ways to beat the heat. The Triana market in Seville has increased fruit and vegetable sales. Customers confess that these days they avoid making stews and seek refuge especially in salmorejo and gazpacho soups.

Sales of water and soft drinks and even hats have also soared. Every little thing help to survive the high temperatures.

Another of the inconveniences: the high solar radiation is also affecting the air we breathe. There have been several episodes of ozone pollution. This especially affects the cardio-respiratory system. The only recommendation is to avoid exposure.

After the heatwave, which is affecting half of Spain, reached its climax on Thursday with highs of 46.9 degrees in Córdoba, temperatures are offering a timid break, although the heat will continue, for the moment, until Sunday.
