Tenerife will be the site of the first edition of the Quirino Awards for Ibero-American Animation. This event, hosted in Tenerife, intends to unite the animation market on both sides of the Atlantic. It will take place during the first quarter of 2018.
The awards are named after the author of the first ever feature-length animation film, Quirino Cristiani. It was made in 1917 in Argentina.
