A twelve-year-old child died on Sunday after being struck hard in the chest while playing a game of futsal in the Sevillian town of Gines.

A twelve-year-old child died on Sunday after being struck hard in the chest while playing a game of futsal in the Sevillian town of Gines.
The child, a resident of Aljarafe, was participating in Sunday morning¿s '1st Futsal Half Marathon¿ in the Municipal Sports Centre, when playing goalkeeper during a penalty shootout, he stopped a shot with his chest and as a result, fell to the ground and entered into cardiac arrest.
Workers attempted to revive the boy, who was eventually taken by ambulance to the Virgen del Rocío Hospital in the city of Seville, where 50 minutes later he was confirmed dead.
The deceased child was a member of the Sevilla FC youth squad and played his football on a team from Camas, the Sevillian city where his parents grew up.
