A man hands himself in to the Civil Guard after allegedly murdering his former partner in Las Gabias (Granada)

The town of Las Gabias, in Granada, held 5 minutes of silence to condemn the latest gender-based violence death. The victim is a 55 year old woman who died in the early hours of last night after being allegedly shot by her former partner. Initial investigations suggest that the alleged perpetrator arrived at the home under the influence of alcohol and, after arguing with the victim, ended her life with a shot to the chest. The 50 year old man fled after committing the crime and handed himself in to the Civil Guard hours later.
