The Third Sector Board of Extremadura wants to advance social rights for its most disadvantaged citizens

The Third Sector Board of Extremadura was formed in Mérida, between the Autonomous Government and the larger NGOs in the region: Cáritas, Red Cross, ONCE, Plataforma del Voluntariado, CERMI and EAPN. Its most pressing task will be to get a law for voluntary workers in Extremadura off the ground.

DIALOGO TERCER SECTOR

The Board will be a forum for dialogue between the Administration and the Associations that work in the Third Sector, similar to those that already exist at a national level and in other Autonomous Communities. The government bill for voluntary workers project that the parliamentary groups are already piecing together will be one of the first tasks of the Board, but the long term will see ideas put forth to look out for the social rights of the most vulnerable groups in society.
