With an investment of around 40 million euros, the new Ybarra Group factory will open its doors before the end of the year, on the company¿s 175th anniversary. Located in the olive producing area of Dos Hermanas, Seville, the new plant will be around 35,000 metres squared, double the size of the previous factory that burnt down in July 2016.

Today, the company has laid the first stone and buried a time capsule containing plans of the new Ybarra plant, newspapers with today¿s date and historical documents of the company. Emotion and future were the two words most heard from the lips of the groups managers, who also sent reminders to their workers.

Just today they sent them letters with all the details of the new project. The Ybarra workers have been transferred to other factories of the group or put on a Temporary Redundancy Plan (ERTE) after the devastating fire that burnt down its previous facilities. In the words of the General Director of the Ybarra Group, Francisco Vigueras, "the new factory will use top-of-the-range technology with natural products, as if it were a huge kitchen". It will boast an array of facilities, including 15 oil, mayonnaise and sauce packaging lines.
