New collection of pieces at the Picasso Museum in Malaga
The Picasso Museum of Malaga adds 166 of the painter¿s pieces to its permanent collection

Time is the guiding thread of the museum¿s new exhibition. "Pablo Picasso, new collection" mixes the small and the big, in an endeavour to show that the greatness is not in the format, but rather in the creative intelligence and the intuition of the artist.
Throughout eleven rooms we witness the artistic evolution of Picasso, with pieces dated between 1895 and 1972. The oldest piece is a portrait of his sister that he painted when he was 13 years old. In total, 120 of the 166 pieces that the Almine and Bernard Ruiz-Picasso Foundation have given to the museum can be seen. The rest will be able to be seen on a rotating schedule.
