The Gran Canarian Paola Torres wins a Goya for `Our Last Men in the Philippines¿
This year a Goya has travelled to the islands. . . The Canarian Paola Torres has received the Goya for the best wardrobe design.
It was for the film '1898, Our Last Men in the Philippines¿, which was also filmed in part in Gran Canaria. It was her second nomination for one of these awards after 'Mi gran noche', by Alex de la Iglesia.

The Gran Canarian Paola Torres won the Goya for the best wardrobe design for her work in the film `1898, Our Last Men in the Philippines¿, directed by Salvador Calvo. In her second nomination for the awards of the Spanish Academy, after last year with `Mi gran noche¿ by Alex de la Iglesia, the only Goya won was for the film `Our Last Men in the Philippines¿.
