The average waiting time for surgery in Extremadura fell to 133 days last year

The health minister of the the Regional Government of Extremadura emphasised this piece of information when publishing the health service waiting lists at the end of last December. There are over 148.000 citizens in total waiting for a procedure, a specialist consult or diagnostic test. Waiting times for diagnostic tests have seen the biggest decrease, and external specialist consults have stayed almost the same.
