39% of toys on sale in Extremadura are dangerous
Extremadura is the third Spanish autonomous community with the greatest amount of sanitary alerts for the quality of specific toys. It follows Madrid and Catalonia in the ranking. The majority of the dangerous toys are manufactured in Asia.

Toys with very small or fragile parts or with poor quality or toxic materials. These are the characteristics of the Asian toys that are inspected every year in the toy lab organised by the Extremaduran Institute of Consumption. This year the figure has reached almost forty per cent. The regional executive body recommends that special attention is placed on the labelling, where the trademark, distributor, recommended age of use and the European initials EC must appear.
