The heat wave has caused the Canarian government to declare the forest fire warning in Gran Canaria and the western province, where it can reach up to 34 degrees.
The decision was made following the forecasts of the State Meteorological Agency, which is keeping the yellow alert due to high temperatures in place for the areas east, south and west of Gran Canaria.
The Canarian government's General Direction for Safety and Emergencies reminds the public that making fires is not allowed in forested areas.
