Coalición Canaria notifies Rajoy of their intention to contribute towards forming a government

The nationalists are the first to sit down with the Partido Popular, who are looking for support in view of the investiture

Rajoy

Coalición Canaria (CC) have notified Mariano Rajoy of their intention to contribute towards forming a government "for the overall good of the citizens". They are set to initiate negotiations with Partido Popular but have warned that their support does not involve "blank cheques" or "drawing red lines". The nationalists believe that all parties have to "sacrifice something so that citizens in general can benefit". They are worried that the government in power may not be able to approve the ceiling for expenditure for drafting next year's budgets. As part of their negotiations, Coalición Canaria and Partido Popular will work on the Canarian agenda, considering matters such as recovering the Canarian employment plan, securing the Economic and Fiscal Regime and providing legal certainty for the article that categorises the archipelago as an ultraperipheral region.
