9. La Sagrada Familia y Barcelona

Carlos del Amor steps back to view the Sagrada Familia from the city. What began as a plot of land on the edge of Barcelona’s new Eixample district is now at the heart of a metropolis that has grown to surround it. A video about how an unfinished church ended up shaping, influencing and transforming an entire neighbourhood.

Through three interactive episodes—Nativity, Passion and Glory— the special programme “Sagrada Familia: 100 Years After Gaudí” reveals the secrets of a building that has been under construction for over 140 years. The Sagrada Família has survived wars and pandemics and has become the tallest Catholic church in the world.
