Detroit. En el mapa de la música se suele situar esta ciudad del estado de Michigan gracias a la discográfica Motown o al techno de los años 80. Pero no se debe olvidar la importancia que tuvo en la escena del proto punk y que fue el lugar de nacimiento de la etiqueta high energy. Hoy vamos a rastrear unas cuantas bandas que llevaron hacia ese sonido de alto poder enérgico, crudo y endurecido. Una mezcla de garage, soul y rhythm n’ blues a la que se fue añadiendo hard rock y psicodelia, siempre con ritmos contundentes y guitarras poderosas y afiladas.
