Catalan singer-songwriter Albert Pla is one of Spain's most scathing social and political commentarists. He recently joined the bunch of musical fellow travellers who, along with Pla, himself, make up the group La Pandilla Voladora for a performance at the 22nd edition of the Pirineos Sur festival ( www.pirineos-sur.es ) in the province of Huesca, near Spain's border with France. The concert featured on our broadcast today, however, is the one Albert Pla gave in 1998 before a live audience at Radio Nacional de España, a performance that was broadcast nationally on Radio 3, Spanish National Radio's youth culture station, and also televised on Spanish Television (TVE) (07/08/13).
