The Sense of Smell at the Prado's Olfactory Exhibition

In this broadcast, after hearing from our Middle East correspondent, Elsa Yazbek, Amy Egan talks to the head of Flemish paintings at Madrid's Prado Museum, Alejandro Vergara, about the museum's new exhibition: "The Essence of a Painting. An Olfactory Exhibition." In collaboration with the Puig Fashion and Cosmetics company, the interactive exhibition (which opened early this month and runs through July 3rd) recreates the smells evoked in Jan Brueghel the Elder's painting 'The Sense of Smell'.
