Mary Weiss, junto a su hermana Betty y las gemelas Ganser, lideró el girl group que mejor encarnó la rebeldía y los melodramas adolescentes de mediados de los 60. En apenas 4 años de trayectoria y a la tutela del productor George "Shadow" Morton definieron un estilo sumamente personal, consiguieron una pequeña colección de éxitos y se convirtieron en todo un referente del rock'n'roll, el punk rock o la new wave. Mary Weiss falleció el pasado viernes a los 75 años de edad. Recordamos aquí alguno de los clásicos que grabó con The Shangri-Las y reivindicamos su fantástico álbum “Dangerous game” con el que regresó 40 años después.
