The 'supermoon' is set to fill sky on 23 June and will look 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than normal, which is the closest approach to Earth. This full moon is the closest and largest full moon of the year. It also presents the moon'Äôs closest encounter with Earth for all of 2013. The moon will not be so close again until 10 August 2014. Reports state on 23 June 2013 the moon will be at its closest point to Earth, called perigee. This relatively close brush will happen as the moon enters its fullest phase, creating the cosmic coincidence known as the supermoon.
