VERAPAZ (EL SALVADOR) 09/11/09.- Habitantes lloran frente a los escombros de su vivienda que fue destruida por los deslizamientos de toneladas de lodo y rocas hoy, 9 de noviembre de 2009, en Verapaz a unos 71 kms al este de San Salvador (El Salvador). Los organismos de socorro del país comenzaron las tareas de remoción de lodo y materiales mientras buscan más víctimas en cinco de los 14 departamentos del país que resultaron afectados el fin de semana por los aguaceros que se registraron a raíz de un sistema de baja presión en el Pacífico, que se vio incrementado por el paso del huracán "Ida" y que causaron al menos 130 muertos y cuantiosos daños.
