Today's program focuses on Friday's targetted assasination of a top Iranian leader by the United States in Iraq. The attack, carried out against Major General Soleimani's convoy as he was leaving Baghdad's International Airport, killed at least four other people, including an Iraqi militia leader. Among the immediate consequences are the Iraqi Parliament's call to revoke permission for the US to remain in the country and the Iranian government's decision to develop its uranium enrichment program without limits. In the United States, lawmakers object that the administration did not present cause for its attack nor request Congressional approval.
