In this week's edition ofFace to Face , Frank Smith talks to Stephen Drake-Jones, an expert in the Peninsular War and the Duke of Wellington who arrived in Spain from England some 35 years ago. Stephen Drake-Jones is chairman of the Wellington Society in Spain [ www.wellsoc.org/ ], a writer and self-taught historian in the tradition of Anglo-Saxon visitors to Spain (Richard Ford, George Borrow, and Ernest Hemingway are three of the best known) who who have discovered more about the country's history than most Spaniards themselves know.
