The unemployment rate decreased by 47,900 people in Andalusia during the first quarter of 2017, an 4.28% decrease in comparison with the previous quarter, according to data from the Active Population Survey (EPA), which has been published today... The total number of unemployed persons for the quarter was 1,072,400, with an overall unemployment rate of 26.94%.

Andalusia is the autonomous community with the second highest decrease in unemployment during the first quarter of the year. In total, unemployment has dropped by 47,900 people since January, leaving the unemployment figure standing at 1,072,400. During this time, the number of employed people has increased by 63,100 people.
In terms of provinces, Almería registered the lowest rate of unemployment with 21.37%, whereas Cádiz has the highest with 33.87%.
