Calixto, reinterpretation of La Celestina with a flamenco flare at the Teatro Alkázar in Plasencia
The production, directed by Laura García from Extremadura, fuses text and flamenco in a reinterpretation of the Spanish literary classic, revolving the plot around the character Calixto.

Calixto opens at the Teatro Alkázar in Plasencia with a loose reinterpretation of the classic work La Celestina, fusing text and flamenco in a simple scenography. The director, Laura García, plays the procuress, and the singer from Caceres Jorge Peralta will play live music giving life to Calixto.
The play will come in May to the Gran Teatro de Cáceres.
